This Privacy Policy describes how ONM, a company registered and operating in Sri Lanka (“ONM”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects personal data when you access or use MatCompGenAI (the “App”), the associated desktop and mobile software, cloud APIs, and the website located at https://matcompgenai.theonm.com (collectively, the “Services”).
This Privacy Policy applies globally. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, you must not access or use the Services.
1. Scope and Applicability
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of MatCompGenAI, including academic, research, institutional, and individual users located in the United States, Sri Lanka, and other jurisdictions worldwide. It is designed to comply with applicable international data protection principles, including but not limited to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), general international privacy standards, and Sri Lankan data protection laws. This Privacy Policy governs only MatCompGenAI and does not apply to other products or services provided by ONM unless explicitly stated.
2. Eligibility and Age Restrictions
MatCompGenAI is intended solely for users thirteen (13) years of age or older. Users under the age of 18 represent that they have obtained consent from a parent or legal guardian prior to using the Services.
ONM does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. If you believe that personal data of a child under 13 has been collected, please contact us immediately at matcompgenai@theonm.com, and such data will be permanently deleted.
3. Account Creation and Authentication
Access to SuperConGenAI requires the creation of an ONM Account. Users may only register using “Continue with Google” or “Sign in with Apple” authentication mechanisms.
During account creation and onboarding, the following personal data is collected: Email, address, First name, Last name, Company or organization name, Job title or professional role, Country of residence, Phone number, Date of birth, Certain information (email, first name, last name) may be automatically populated by the authentication provider. Additional information is provided directly by the user.
Account registration is mandatory for credit allocation, usage limits, academic credit requests, history synchronization, and abuse prevention.
4. Categories of Data Collected
4.1 Personal Data
ONM may collect and process the following categories of personal data: Identity information (name, email address, date of birth), Professional information (organization, job title), Contact information (email address, phone number, country), Account identifiers and authentication tokens, Support communications and correspondence
4.2 Usage and Technical Data
We automatically collect technical and usage-related information, including: Application usage patterns, Generation requests and prediction inputs, Credit usage and reset cycles, Timestamps, session metadata, and operational logs, Device and operating system identifiers, Error diagnostics and performance metrics.
4.3 Generated and Predicted Data
All generated material compositions, predicted property values, user input prompt and associated metadata are stored locally and/or synchronized with cloud services linked to your account. This data is considered application data, not user-owned intellectual property, as further described in our Terms of Service and EULA.
5. Purpose of Data Processing
ONM processes personal and application data strictly for legitimate business and operational purposes, including but not limited to: Providing access to the Services, Managing user accounts and authentication, Allocating, enforcing, and resetting usage credits, Storing and synchronizing generation history, Preventing abuse, fraud, misuse, or unauthorized access, Improving system reliability, security, and performance, Supporting academic credit requests, Complying with legal obligations and lawful requests, ONM does not sell personal data and does not permit third parties to use personal data for advertising or marketing purposes.
6. AI Model Operation and Data Handling
MatCompGenAI utilizes encrypted machine learning models that operate locally on the user’s device. For security and intellectual property protection purposes, an online connection is required to unlock and authorize model execution at the time of generation. Model execution inputs and outputs may be logged and stored in association with your account. These logs are used for operational integrity, abuse prevention, and research auditing. ONM does not claim ownership of the underlying Open Quantum Materials Database (OQMD) used to train its models. However, ONM owns all trained models, weights, architectures, software implementations, and derivative intellectual property.
7. Data Storage and Security
All personal and application data is stored using industry-standard encryption mechanisms, both at rest and in transit. Reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards are implemented to protect data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. While ONM takes commercially reasonable measures to secure data, no system is completely secure. By using the Services, you acknowledge and accept this inherent risk.
8. Data Retention
Personal and application data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Users may delete all MatCompGenAI application data, including generation history, directly within the App. Such deletion is irreversible. Deletion of MatCompGenAI data does not delete the ONM Account or affect other ONM services.
9. Account Deletion and Data Erasure
Users may request full deletion of their ONM Account and all associated services by contacting accounts@theonm.com. Upon verified request, all personal data associated with the account will be permanently deleted. Account deletion is irreversible and cannot be undone. Certain minimal records may be retained where required by law, regulatory obligations, or legitimate legal interests.
10. Data Sharing and Disclosure
ONM does not sell personal data. Data may be disclosed only in the following limited circumstances: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests, To enforce our legal rights or investigate violations, To protect the safety, security, or integrity of users, ONM, or the public, To trusted service providers acting on our behalf under strict confidentiality obligations, No personal data is shared for advertising or profiling purposes.
11. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed and stored in jurisdictions outside your country of residence. By using the Services, you consent to such international data transfers, subject to appropriate safeguards and applicable legal protections.
12. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data collected by ONM, subject to lawful exceptions. Requests may be submitted to matcompgenai@theonm.com. ONM does not discriminate against users for exercising privacy rights.
13. Prohibited Use and Sensitive Applications
MatCompGenAI must not be used for military, weapons, chemical, biological, environmental harm, or other high-risk applications. ONM reserves the right to monitor usage patterns and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these restrictions.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
ONM reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Updated versions will be posted at https://matcompgenai.theonm.com/privacy. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
